Bedtime Lesson

While we were putting Kaia to bed tonight, she wanted to read some of the Book of Mormon.  She said her prayer and then I told her to pick a page and we would read it.  She opened the front of the book and the following conversation unfolded:


Kaia:  "Ok, where did Jesus come from?"


Matt: "From Heaven."


Kaia: "Ok, very good.  Now, what did Jesus do for us? Oh, wait, please raise your hand."


Kaia: (pointing to Matt) "Yes, Matthew Thomas Britt, what did He do for us?"


We both chuckled because she referred to him by his full name and she said, "No laughing please."


Kaia: "Why does Jesus want us to follow him?"


Kaia: (pointing to me) "Yes, Sarah Britt?"


Me: "He wants us to follow him so that we can live with him forever."


Kaia: "Yes that is very good sweetie. Now, can we sing a song?"


Me: "Sure, what would you like to sing?"


Kaia: "I Am a Child of God"


We sang the first verse together and then she dismissed us.


Kaia: (pointing to Matt) Ok, Matthew Thomas Britt's class you may go.  Sarah Britt's class you may go.  Thank you!



I think primary is really rubbing off on her.
