See You Soon
Over the Labor Day weekend, we had a quick visit from my parents. It was the season opener for LSU and they were playing here in Arlington. Three of my brothers and sister-in-law flew in for the big game. We were able to all get together for breakfast but right after my brother and his wife had to leave to catch their flight. My brothers, Josh and Tim, were able to come back to our house and spend a few hours. I was super excited and very grateful for this because Josh was leaving for Afghanistan a couple of weeks later. It was nice to spend some time with him. I always enjoy watching him interact with my kids. He is a great uncle. It was hard to say goodbye to him but I know I will see him again. He is good at what he does and has been trained well. At this time, our family has to have a lot of faith in the Lord and trust that he will keep Josh and all of his soldiers safe (Josh is a platoon sergeant). I don't like to say goodbye so I just told him that I would see him soon. I love you Josh. We support you and greatly appreciate the sacrifice you make by serving your country.
