Today is my golden birthday. I turned 26 on the 26th. *sigh* I really don't like getting older. I decided not to think about it and just focus on having fun. The morning was really busy we had open house at preschool for the kids and Matt and the boys had dentist appointments. We were finished with all of that by 12:30 though, so it was no problem to me. On my way home from the dentist Matt called to tell me that I had a surprise waiting for me when I got home. I figured it was probably the birthday cake that he and Kaia went to pick out for me. (Anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE cake.) He knew I would be excited. Instead when I got home, my friend, Sharyn, was waiting for me with a huge bouquet of flowers! Aww, I just love her!
She totally jump started my birthday for me. After that we had some lunch and hit up the mall. I went to about 5 stores before I bought anything. Matt was so shocked and quite baffled. I am a shopaholic and have been known to spend a little too much money at times. Here lately though, I have really tried to help our budget and spend less. I guess it was too much for Matt to believe. Hmmm, maybe this whole "getting older" thing is helping me to mature? Anyway, I did end up buying two skirts and a shirt that were on sale. He was much happier after that. After a long day of shopping we decided to end the night with dinner at Bob Evans. I ordered my favorite, breakfast for dinner.
(I had stuffed French Toast with blueberry topping. Don't worry Daddy it wasn't as good as yours.)
Then, we finished the day with some cake.
Matt and Kaia picked good. The cake is yummy! Kaia kept saying, "Mama look at your flower cake. Is it so good? Happy Birthday Mommy! I love you!" I love that girl.
Here I am blowing out the candles while Gabriel was digging for buried treasure. He is such a boy. I was really spoiled this year. My mama made me a new purse and some watch bands. My in-laws bought me some fleur-de-lis jewelry. (just in time for football season. Geaux Saints!) I feel very loved and blessed. Here's to another year!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I am SO glad you were so taken care of on your special day! SO MUCH FUN! your cake is too cute and I love your hair! It looks beautiful!!!
I didn't know you were younger than I am. You look younger than I do but in my weird mind anyone with more kids than I have is older. :) Which is sooo not true considering I started at 25, but that's how my mind works. Happy Birthday!
