Kaia Says
I have decided that I better do a post of all the things this silly girl says before I forget. I will probably make this a reoccurring post. She comes up with some stuff and sure knows how to keep us all laughing.
When we were looking at bunk beds for the boys I asked Kaia to climb up on the display model the store had setting out. I then asked her to lay down as if she were sleeping and roll around. (I was wanting to see just how sturdy the beds were) She just sat there and looked at me funny. I asked her to do it again and finally she said, "I can't go to sleep there are no pillows."
The other day I was feeling sick and laying on the couch. She came over and felt my forehead; then, she looked at Matt and said, "Dr. Britt, fix her!"
She often refers to me as, "Honey, Sweet Baby, Sweetie, and Sweet B" I am used to these terms of endearment but it catches other people (teachers, people at church, or complete strangers) off guard which results in lots of smiles and comments.
She often refers to Matt as "Dr. Britt" I am not sure why she does this. I told her only one time that he was a doctor and fixes people's feet and for some reason she thinks that he needs to be called that.
This summer we were coming home from Bahama Bucks. She was slowly and very carefully eating her snow cone. She didn't want the cone part of it to fall. I turned a corner and apparently it caved in. She was so mad at me. Amid all of her ranting and raving she said, "You just wait until Dr. Britt comes home, he is going to be so mad at you. Oh Mama, you are in so much trouble. He is going to send you to your room!" Yikes! I wonder who she heard those lines from? No, never, not me. ;)
The other day I noticed her clomping around in my shoes. I asked her why she was wearing them and she replied, "Because I want to be a lady."
On our way home from school the other day I was driving with the window down. Kaia asked me, "Mom can you please turn the windows off?"
I was waiting at the pharmacy to get our prescriptions filled when Kaia began to ask for some candy. I realized that she was referring to the display of Tums. I explained to her that it was medicine we take if our tummies hurt. The next day she finished eating a big lunch and said, "Oh mom, my tummy hurts. I need some tums."
I get onto her for not listening and she proceeded to fall to the floor, close her eyes, and stay really still. I looked at her and said, "Kaia I asked you to do something." to which she replied, "Sorry mom I am sleeping and I am just too tired to do it."
And that wraps of this edition of Kaia Says. But stay tuned because I am pretty sure this won't be the last that we hear from her.

Oh kids! I need to be better at writing it all down. Usually it's in the car and by the time I get home it slips my mind.
Love her!
