Pretty Pink P-toes!
This morning before church, I decided that I needed to repaint my toenails. Kaia was already up so, I decided to do it in her room. She got all excited when she saw the bright pink polish. She kept counting my p-toes (that is what she calls toes) and admiring the color. Well, anyone who knows Kaia, is aware of her endless energy and her need to constantly move. I have never attempted to paint her nails because it takes me 10 minutes just to cut them because she fights me the entire time. For some reason this morning, I thought I would give it a try. So I asked her, "Do you want me to put some pink on your toes?" She said, "Um, ok my p-toes." I then told her, "You have to sit still." To my amazment...she sat still. I was able to paint all ten toes in about 30 seconds. "Are you kidding me?" I was shocked. "Now, you can't touch them. They need to dry. You need to blow on them." I said. She put her feet close to her face and began blowing on them. After I had finished mine I decided to put a flower on my big toes. She wanted a sticker too. I went to put it on her toe and she exclaimed, "No, no no touch it. No touch my p-toes." LOL "Yes ma'am." I said. She danced around her room admire her p-toes some more and then decided she needed to wake Daddy up to show him. Matt of course made a big deal out of it. I even put sandles on her so that she could look at them while we were at church. In the past couple of months, she has really began to grow up and mature into a little lady. She does and says something new everyday. I really do love having a daughter. It is so fun! Awhile ago, I decided that since Matt is going to be a podiatrist that I needed to keep my feet pedicured and my toes painted. I guess that now goes for Kaia too. =c)
