I knew it wouldn't be long.

Yesterday, Gatlin followed his brother's lead and climbed all the way up the stairs! YAY! Although, he has his brother beat. He also climbs back down. It is so funny to me how these guys have been competing since they were in the womb. I have ultrasound pictures of them kicking each other in the face. It is definitely a doctor's appointment I will never forget. A few days after they were born, the doctor's discovered that Gabriel had a heart murmur. Two days later Gatlin had the same thing. Gatlin came off the oxygen first, the next day Gabriel came off of it. They moved into a crib at the same time and luckily, they were released from the N.I.C.U on the same day. Gatlin sat up and crawled first but, Gabriel was doing it by the next week. Gatlin was also the first to walk. A week later Gabriel was walking. Gatlin was the first to feed himself and about 5 minutes later Gabriel was feeding himself. They were always within a pound or a few ounces of each other for the first 9 months. Then, at their one year appointment Gabriel took over the lead by a pound and a half. By their 18 month check-up Gabriel had Gatlin by 3 whole pounds! He still holds that title. That's why we call him Moose Man or Big Bubba. I am not sure if little Gatlin will catch up. Gabriel says more than Gatlin. Gatlin just prefers to pull me to whatever it is that he wants. They have the same size feet and Gabriel is about a half inch taller. It is so exciting to watch them reach each milestone. I was really scared when I first found out that I was having twins but, to be honest, I really love having them. They are the most content easy-going kids ever. It is going to be a lot of fun watching these two continue to grow.

That's really funny! They look the same size to me! When we went for our first ultrasound...Mike asked the tech to check again to see if there were 2! I think he wants twins...sorry, babe! Anyway, you seem to be doing wonderful with your kids! You're a great example of a great mommy!
