This post is going to be a little different than the ones that I normally do. I don't feel like typing a lot so I am just going to post pictures with captions. I am tired and have been dealing with 3 sick babies all week. But I know if I don't blog about Christmas now it is going to be too late. Here we are at church the Sunday before Christmas. The batteries were dying on our camera before me and Kaia's picture so we did have a chance to take a good one. She look so beautiful in her little dress so I will have to take a pic the next time she wears it. I love the
picture of all my boys. Isn't it so cute? I love them.
On to Christmas morning. Here is Kaia running down the stairs.
As for Matt, he took a little longer. Could it be the extra 60 pounds he was carrying? Hold on Gabriel!
The kids had a great Christmas. Santa was good to us. He gave Kaia a Hello Kitty playhouse, playdough, dress-up stuff, and Sleeping Beauty. The boys each got a push and go car, a bag full of cars, (did I mention they like cars?), and a Yo Gabba Gabba movie. All of our children really enjoy that show. So for a combined gift they got the Yo Gabba Gabba figurines to play with. And they were a hit!

After all of our own personal family Christmas we headed back down south for sometime with Matt's family. It was a lot of fun and the weather was really beautiful. Humid for the first couple of days and then it actually cooled down and we had sunny weather. It was perfect. Matt and I had live-in babysitters (thanks Mom and Dad) and plenty of company. Here we are at our Christmas dinner with the whole gang. (L-R Andrea, Nathan, Daniel, Margaret, Me, Matt, Brady, Josh, Jill, Mom and Dad).
The boys watching Elmo with good ol' Grandpa. (Gatlin is standing...I LOVE this picture!)
We had late night and early mornings, which was to be expected, so we were pretty tired but it was worth it. The last day we were there we made a trip to Chuck-E-Cheese. So fun! They kids really enjoyed themselves. But I think the adults had a little more fun with all the games.
So our trip was a lot of fun. Matt and I were able to spend time with his family and with some of our closest friends. Christmas was really great this year but as usual it went by way too fast. But I really look forward to the new year. It is my favorite time. I love making my list of goals and seeing if I can really follow through. (fingers crossed) I hope everyone has had a great Christmas and has an even better year. Yay for 2009!
