Sewing Project #1
Did you know that you can make a skirt out of an old pair of jeans? I didn't know that. I first saw this idea from my friend Stacey. She had made one for her little girl. I wasn't sure how to do it on my own so I went to the internet. I found a pretty good tutorial on another person's blog: homemadebyjill.blogspot.com. (FYI: I LOVE this blog she has some really cute ideas.) It is super easy and it won't cost you a thing. So, if you have an old pair of jeans lying around and you need a new skirt for church this is the project for you!

Too cute!! I made one when I was in YW for a sewing project many years ago, I think I added some kind of cute material to the under layer so that it showed through the gap in the jeans! Glad to see your sewings off to a good start!:) Keep up the good work.

That is a great idea especially since here in OH the bottom of my pants get ruined so fast!
Awesome! I'm looking forward to seeing more sewing projects. I wish we could sew together. I think I may pull my machine out today.
