Monster Pajama Birthday Party Bash!

The day snuck up on me and I cannot believe my babies are 5.  *sigh*  I have a hard telling people how old they are when I am asked now.  I feel like I can't call them babies anymore even though I do and I find myself still carrying them around like they are.  I suppose it is because I still have to do so much for them and well neither one of them can really talk.  Gabriel has lost his chubby cheeks.  His belly isn't as round and he no longer has rolls on his arms or legs.   I used to tell Gabriel all the time that he was so fat and cute but now he is only just cute.  Gatlin has also lost all of his baby fat and looks too much like a little boy.  But I still call him my little-little because he weighs less, is about an inch shorter and is techically my youngest child by 10 whole minutes.  For their birthday this year we decided to have a monster pajama party! My boys are super picky when it comes to food.  Gatlin likes cake but Gabriel doesn't.  They both LOVE oreo cookies so I decided to make an oreo cookie monster cake.  It was a hit! We had dinner, ate cake, opened presents, and watched their favorite show "Yo, Gabba, Gabba."  It was simple but a night full of fun and a lot of love for these two.  The G-Unit has taught us so much in the past 5 years.  They helped me to realize that I am a lot stronger than I could have ever realized. They have brought Matt and I closer together as a couple and made our little family stronger.  Their constant smiles and contagious giggles are the reason I get up and do it all over everyday.  Who would have thought that two little people that can't even talk could teach me so much?  Despite their disability they continue to make progress.  We are so proud of our boys and fall in love with them more and more each day!  Happy Birthday Boys!

Gatlin-5 years old!

Gabriel-5 years old!
This picture cracks me up!  Gatlin was so afraid of the fire on the candles.  I was so bummed that it came out blurry.

He was a little more at ease when cousin, Emy, stood next to him.

Gabriel enjoying his cookies/cake.

Gatlin gobbled his up!

The beautiful party guests.

And here we are, the Party Animals! Ha!
