Cheesy for Cookies

I have some catching up on my blog to do from our trip to Louisiana but I am still editing and weeding out the hundreds of pictures we took so I decided to take a break and blog about our day.  The boys started summer school last week and seem to be enjoying it.  I am not sure how I feel because I am still having to get up early and do the rushed, morning routine,   (I have come to the conclusion that I will sleep when I am dead.)  However, we know that school is important and necessary for our boys.  We are grateful to be in such a good school district that offers these services.   The weather is starting to heat up here in North Texas so we decided to take a break from our usual outside activities.  I remembered that we had some sugar cookie dough in the fridge.  I have a drawer full of cookie cutters.  I let the kiddos pick out a couple of cutters.  Then, the fun and mess began.  Everyone had fun and I have to mention what an amazing baker Kaia is.  She can bang out some cookies!  I took advantage of this time and decided to have the boys practice their "cheese" faces for the camera.  They are getting pretty good at it.  (Hopefully, with more practice, we will be ready for our family pictures in the fall.)

She is always so willing to take pictures.  She is picture perfect!  I love my girl!

Gabriel was cheesing it up for me.  I caught him saying "cheese" in this one.  Love him!

I loved this one the best!  Look at my handsome boy!

Gatlin wasn't really feeling the whole "say cheese" thing.  He went more for the "smolder" look.  Apparently, he has been paying attention when we watch "Tangled".

Gabriel was really working hard it's too bad that he doesn't like cookies.  He wouldn't eat the fruit of his labor.  He must be Gatlin's little red hen because Gatlin's ate tons of cookies and didn't make a single one.  It must be nice to have a twin brother.  ;)

She loves to bake!

We have quite the variety of cookies.  They are so yummy and were made with lot of love.
