Egg-citing

Another holiday has come and gone, we sure have enjoyed the extra time off from school and work.  Matt worked New Year's so he could have Easter off.  It was nice to not have to worry about the "devil box" (a.k.a the on-call pager) going off during our egg-citing festivities.  Saturday was spent car shopping and stressing out about our dying mini-van.  I will save that for another post though.  That evening we still made time for a few activities and prepared for church the following day.  I found this idea on Pinterest (love that site!)

Our magical beans sprouted flowers!

Gatlin was sooo excited to have a sucker!

Since we had such a rough day before we decided to come home from church and take it easy.  We watched "Hop" and "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked".  We ate too much candy and had a nice Easter dinner.  Then, Matt taught the kiddos the story of the resurrection and we made resurrection rolls.  It was the best part of the day for me.  I enjoyed watching Kaia and her inquisitive little mind as she embraced the story of our Savior.

I love this time to reflect on the sacrifice that He made for us and the knowledge that I have that we will all return to live with Him again one day.

Cute idea! Love the family pic! I feel your pain about vehicle trouble! Seriously stinks!
We are counting down the days till Residency is over (12 weeks) so we can upgrade our vehicle and not have 3 kids/ carseats crammed in the backseat. :)
