A Little Space for Me

A couple of weeks ago, I acted on impulse and decided to rearrange our room so that I could have a craft corner. Before, my craft stuff was in the boy's closet. The closet was great and everything fit well but, I never worked on anything. When I would work on a project I would have to drag everything downstairs and then clean up the mess. Now, if I don't finish a project I can leave it out until I get a chance to get back to it. Also, if Matt is downstairs studying, I have a place where I can go and work. I have gotten a lot accomplished and have many more projects in the making. It's not much but it is perfect for me. =c)

(I found these vinyl quotes 70% off at JoAnn Fabrics. I bought the wood from Michaels, painted it and VOILA! a little something for my little space. )

(I keep my door locked during the day so that "the littles" can't destroy anything. I love it!)

Your sewing nook looks about like mine, small but functional! At least you don't have to wash all the laundry in order to start sewing. lol :) Blaine tells me that is how he makes me keep up with the laundry, if i don't do the laundry i don't have room to sew in my tiny laundry/sewing room. I just love his humor! (sarcastically said) :)It does make a difference though, when you can leave your projects out and not worry about the kids getting into them!! :)I bet you will come up with some great projects, have fun sewing!!!!

Yay for you! I'm glad you did this for yourself. I was just sewing last night and had to pack it all up and I still have a lot to do. I'm making Wyatt a bib and blanket. Ugghhh.....the fabric is minky and is a pain to sew.

Good for you! You'll have so much fun crafting now with your own space to do it in.

I love those vinyl quotes. How long ago did you get them? I may have to go get some for me. Great space Sarah!
