Sickness, Sickness Go Away!

The past two weeks have been sick ones for us. Well, for the rest of the family thankfully, I have dodged the sick germs. It started with Gatlin (congestion and cough), then went to Matt, who gave it to Kaia, and she passed it to Gabriel. We took all 3 of the kids to the doctor last Friday. Kaia had an ear infection, sinus infection, and the beginning stages of bronchitis, Gabriel and Gatlin's ears were NOT infected. Huge surprise! Those boys always have infections. The doctor said they just had colds. She prescribed an anti-biotic for Kaia and gave us a prescription for the boys just in case they got worse. Gatlin seemed to be fine and was on the mend. The following Tuesday Gabriel was sent home from school with a fever. We called in his anti-biotic and he was down for the next two days. Kaia finished up her dose of meds and seemed to be doing great until yesterday afternoon. She asked me to lay on the couch with her. When I did, I could tell that she had a fever. She didn't move from the couch the rest of the day and went to bed at 5:30. Today, she isn't any better but we are hoping that she will bounce back in a few more days. I couldn't help but take a picture of her tonight. She looks so peaceful all snuggled up with Tinker Bell and Olivia in her blankets from Grammy and Gramma. Those were the only blankets she wanted. Thanks to the Grandmas for bringing her some comfort during this time.
