When I was fixing Kaia's hair this morning, I heard the awful sound of glass breaking. Gatlin decided it would be fun to pick a cabinet in the kitchen and grab whatever he could and throw it. It is he and Gabriel's favorite game. The thow EVERYTHING. I ran into the kitchen when he was about to throw another bowl. He saw me coming and took off running. He went and hide behind his blanket. I was so sad. He broke a bowl that my mom had given to me after I was married. It was this old retro 70's style bowl that I remember my mom using often. I had lots of salads, mashed potatoes, and pudding out of that bowl and now it is gone. Oh well, luckily, no one cut their fingers or feet.

Do you do time outs? I have been doing them with Carter lately and they seem to be working. He has learned that certain things are okay to throw and others are not. I try to emphasize that balls are fun to throw outside, but we do not throw things inside the house.
I'm sorry about your bowl. Kids always find something to make the day exciting.
Oh no! Don't tell me...that's what I'm looking forward to least about or little man (esp. if he is anything like they say Mike was!!! ahhh)! I'm so sorry about your bowl! My mom has a set almost just like that except it's this funky green but I LOVE them b/c they were her mom's and remind me of growing up! You need to keep a few pieces and then go to garage sales and other hand-me-down stores,buy other funky ceramic bowls, break them into smaller pieces and make a mosaic vase or something out of the so you will always have them!
OH MAN! What a bummer! I think that is one of the toughest part of having kids... :)
Oh Yes I remember that bowl very well. How sad it is gone I remember mom using it all the time as well Tell him the bowl will be missed but we all love him more! Sad day for the Farmer family lol....Love ya girl and just know that is of many treasures to get broken. I think kids come with rules that they have to break everything in the house because Kaiden is now breaking all the stuff in our house.
