Here's to the days of warm weather, sunshine, birds singing, sidewalk chalk, pop-sicles, parks, going for walks, driving with the windows down, playing in the grass, and splashing in the puddles. This summer was a lot of fun for us. We have spent a lot of time going to the park all of my children started to enjoy this, Kaia especially. Anyone who knows her knows that she loves to run and has the energy to do it for days! Her new found love at the park is the merry-go-round. She LOVES that thing. I don't get it though she hates the swings, they really frighten her, but she will stay on the merry-go-round all day. She loves to turn around and around and gets upset when you stop...pretty ironic huh? Gabriel crawls around in the bark and just watches everyone else. Gatlin pretty much does the same thing only at a much faster pace. And unlike their sister, they LOVE to swing. What more can I say there is always something to do at the park. We love it and will miss it when the snowy, chilly weather comes.

This summer we went to the zoo a couple of times but it just got to be too much of a workout for me to push the kids around so we stopped doing that but I figure next year will be a lot easier when all of my kiddies can walk and help me out a little. We were able to go with Matt once and that was really fun! He and Kaia ran all over the place and he would tell her about each of the animals. It was really great.
And I think the highlight for my summer was when Gatlin started really walking this past week! OH YAY! One less baby for me to carry! He is doing really good. He only falls a little bit and when Kaia runs him over, but it won't be too much longer before he starts running her over. LOL That will be something to see.
And of course this summer reflection would not be complete unless I pointed out that Matt is now in his second year of school which is one year closer to graduation. So yes, I am excited about that! The summer will be missed but I really am looking forward to the fall/winter. I know I am weird but I like cold weather. I look forward to the waking up to the beautiful white snow, the days we will spend in our warm PJs, curling up on the couch drinking hot chocolate, playing play dough, dancing/singing to our favorite songs, making even more trips to the library, baking cookies, the HOLIDAYS, and of course the new year. I really do love this time of year. Cold weather is the best excuse to just stay home and spend time together. I look forward to having the chance to be creative and entertain my children inside. I can't wait for that.

I LOVE summer!! It is my favorite, I guess that is why I LOVE the south also. It is still hot here. Even though we have had a few nice breezy days I figure our warm weather will last another month or so. The kids are so cute! Love the pic of Kaias feet!!!!
